+ 1
I will always remember Otto as a loving father with a big heart and a gentle soul who loved his children Zach and Kelley dearly. He was patient in teaching the kids how to water ski, hunt and even roller skate.
Steve and I were privileged to be able to celebrate many holidays with both Otto and Zach over the past number of years. We think of him fondly and will miss him greatly.

My three favorite memories of Otto are 1) the amazing Christmas goose dinner he cooked for our family just weeks after Zach was born - he was a proud father and fantastic chef! 2) the love and patience of Otto to sit for nearly an hour catching an 18 month old Zach as he ran across and "fell" off the coffee table then would go to the other end and start all over again 3) Otto lovingly holding a 3 year old Kelley on his lap while she commandingly "drove" the pontoon boat. Nothing could light up his eyes like the presence of his children and grandchildren. He will be missed and remembered fondly.

I will always remember what a good sport Otto was the Christmas Eve we dressed him up like Mrs. Claus to go with Santa(Bunny) and make the rounds. Many laughs and fun. I’ll bet Otto is playing cribbage up there with Bunny. RIP Otto. My sympathies to the family.

Otto will be remembered for his hearty laugh and love of a good joke. I recall one with the punchline of "Particularly nasty weather" that he would get a kick out of telling. His eyes would light up whenever Kelly or Zach were mentioned and the same with his three grandchildren. It was so good to recall the many good times I had with him, like ice fishing in Minocqua, venison steak and eggs, and boating on the flowage. Zach, I know you have many good memories to cherish as you remember your father and you can be proud of wonderful son that you are.

Otto was a good friend and a gentle soul. He was very proud of his children. He spent many fun hours with us on our Island on the Wisconsin River in Tomahawk. I will miss him.
