Obituary of Rita Starr

Rita R. Starr, age 62, Tomahawk, passed away May 6, 2007 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk. Rita was born February 6, 1945 in Merrill to Alex and Mildred (Spears) Boyd. She married Donald Starr on April 17, 1982 in Tomahawk. Rita worked in the food service department at Lincoln Hills fir many years, retiring in 2002. She loved the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and the time she spent at her winter home in Arkansas. Survivors include: Husband - Donald Starr, Children - Carolyn (Jerry) Robl, Karen Zais, both of Merrill, Jeff (Laura) Starr of Sun Prairie, and Lynlee (Mike) Krummey. Five brothers - Bill (Ceil) Boyd of Merrill, Dale (Sally) Boyd of Arkansas, Dean Boyd of Merrill, Harold Boyd of Illinois, and Gayle Boyd of Madison. One sister - Bonny Boyd of Madison. 8 grandchildren - Jeffrey Butler Jr., Travis Kurth, Lcpl. Ronald Butler, Ronnie Robl, Jenna Zais, Jarnee Robertson, Jacon & Jason Starr. 1 great grandchild - Christian Kurth. Rita is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother - Lloyd Boyd. A Memorial Service for Rita Starr will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19th, 2007 at Krueger & Sons Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Rev. Dr. Gary Uttech will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m.
