Sheryl A. Downing, age 52, W6170 Frontage Road, Tomahawk, passed away September 11, 2010 at her residence. Sheryl was born January 23, 1958 in Tomahawk, the daughter of Carl and Gail (Gano) Menebroeker. Sheryl was a 1976 graduate of Tomahawk High School. She married Chris Downing on March 5, 1977 in Tomahawk. Sheryl enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, antiquing, playing bingo, camping, and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed all of her grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Husband Chris Downing Tomahawk Parents Carl and Gail Menebroeker Tomahawk Children Jason Downing Amy (Josh) Marino both of Tomahawk Sara Downing Mosinee Katie (James) Hohenstein Wausau Sisters Debbie (John) Simpson California Linda (Keith) Johnson Tomahawk Tammy (Matt) Ross Wausau Brother James (Debbie) Menebroeker Tomahawk Sheryl is further survived by 4 grandchildren - Logan Roberts, Madeline & Isabella Marino, and Emily Hohenstein. Funeral Services for Sheryl Downing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in the Town of Birch.
