Obituary of Clarence Kuntz

Clarence 'Fat' Kuntz, age 85, 1317 E. Somo Ave., Tomahawk, died unexpectedly January 5, 2011 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Fat was born June 1, 1925 in Tomahawk, the son of Henry and Millie (Higgins) Kuntz. He married Beverly Krueger on February 4, 1949. Fat was employed as a storeroom clerk with Owens-Illinois for over 40 years, retiring in 1989. He also did masonry work around the Tomahawk area for many years. He enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball, gardening, and being with family - especially his grandchildren. Fat was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, and a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Wife Beverly Kuntz Tomahawk Daughter Diane (Mike) Messinger Tomahawk Sons Craig (Mary) Kuntz Mosinee Paul (Laura) Kuntz Tomahawk Fat is further survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 7 sisters. A Memorial Service with Military Rites for Fat Kuntz will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services at 4:00 p.m. Memorials are appreciated to: Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk
