Obituary of Lawrence Klawitter

Lawrence Klawitter, age 80, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away March 17, 2011 at his home in Mayville, WI. Lawrence was born December 21, 1930 in Chicago, the son of Andrew and Lucienne (Waymel) Klawitter. He moved to Tomahawk when he was a senior in high school, and graduated from Tomahawk High School. He married Jane Theiler on June 7, 1952 in Tomahawk. Lawrence was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served active duty in the Army during the Berlin Crisis. Survivors include: Wife Jane Klawitter Mayville Children Catherine (John) Gambacorta Glenview, Illinois Jim (Carrie) Klawitter Mayville Brother-in-law Dr. Toby Theiler Tomahawk Sister-in-law Marguerite Bachhuber Green Bay Lawrence is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service with Military Tribute for Lawrence Klawitter will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on July 2nd from 12:00 Noon until the hour of Mass at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
