Obituary of Franklin Bjelland

Franklin L. Bjelland, Sr., age 71, N9955 Kings Rd., Tomahawk passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Palliative Care. Frank was born July 11, 1939 in Exeland, Wisconsin, the son of Lawrence and Florence (Campbell) Bjelland. Frank was first married to Diana Stoker; she died October 19, 1986. He later married Gerry McCabe - McAllister on January 18, 1990 in Merrill. Frank moved to Tomahawk in 1963 to work at Georgia Pacific. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid fan of boxing. Survivors include: Wife Gerry Bjelland Tomahawk Daughters Susan (Robert) Holsten Texas Donna (John) Robertson Atlanta, Georgia Sons Frank Bjelland, Jr. Tennessee Kevin Bjelland Tomahawk Craig (Evelyn) Bjelland Tennessee Step Children Ron (Lori) McAllister Merrill Rob (Lisa) McAllister Tomahawk Rich (Jamie) McAllister Tomahawk Rose Belling Tomahawk Frank is further survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 1 step great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife - Diana, and infant brother, and one sister - Mary. Funeral Services for Frank Bjelland, Sr. will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Pastor Larry Mathein will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of services at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
