Virginia M. Turgeon, age 82, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill. Virginia was born on August 11, 1928 in Tomahawk to Herbert and Stella (Nowak) Mitchell. She was married to Norbert Turgeon on May 10, 1947 also in Tomahawk, he passed away in 1991. She had been a resident of Friendship, Wisconsin for many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, singing, crafting, and especially her grandchildren. Survivors include: 2 Sons, Joseph Turgeon Sheboygan, WI Daniel Turgeon Friendship, WI 4 Daughters, Darlene (Dale) Erickson Merrill Mary (Dan) Cahala Rhinelander Laurie Thede Merrill Bonnie Turgeon Sheboygan Ginny is further survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norbert, 2 infant children, and 2 brothers. Mass of Christian burial will be offered for Ginny Turgeon on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Edward Powell will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m.
