I have fond memories of Mary. I remember how she kindly gave me a ride home on her motorcycle.
The last few years we would run into each other at Trigs. She would ask how I and my sisters were and I would ask how her and the kids were. We would talk about what was new and the past. I am going to miss her and our talks. My heart goes out to all her loved ones.

I mainly remember Mary from working at Harley-Davidson. I will always remember how friendly she was and her lovely smile. She always had something nice to say. But, we both also remember her from before that at Harley events that we participated in back in the 90’s. It was so nice that she always remembered us both from year to year.
Our condolences to all of her family. You are all so fortunate to have had her in your lives!

It would take the whole book to share all the memories we made over the 20+ years of our friendship! In winter, we were neighbors in Arizona. In spring, summer, or fall, occasional trips between Minnesota and Wisconsin.
One of the "highlights" would have to be when I drove to Wisconsin for her 80th birthday. I drove up the day before her big party. There was a lot of snow that Spring. The roads were not good.
It was mid-morning the next day and Mary said we had time to check out some friends we met in AZ before her party. She said she thought they lived few miles out of town and had a very long driveway. As we got into her car I told her there was a lot of snow and asked her if she had all wheel drive. She said "yes I do!" So off we went! We turned on a side road that had only a part of it plowed. We drove a short distance and she turned onto an unplowed road. I asked if her AWD was on? She said yes and started speeding up to get through the snow. Well, we got stuck! I started looking to make sure the AWD drive was on and told her I didn't see the AWD button. She smiled and pointed to the button on the left of side. I said, "Mary, that's the button for your lights!" She said, "really???" So she decided to back out, stepped on the gas and we flew in the ditch and buried the back wheels! Her front wheels were spinning as she was determined to get out! So now what? We both tried calling and texting her kids. However, there was no service among the huge trees out in the boonies! So we bowed our heads and prayed!
We took turns to push and drive to no avail! We noticed there was a storage shed in the woods so we struggled through the snow and noticed a shovel by a tree! An answer to prayer? She carried it back, and we took turns shoveling and shoveling! Plus, she took every bag, sweater, and whatever else was in the car to put in the front and back of the wheels for traction. She would drive, I would push, I would drive, she would push, over and over. By then, it was time for her big party! She knew her kids were wondering where we were. Finally, I got behind the wheel and begged God for help, asking St Michael the archangel for helping me drive, PLEASE! I slowly drove back and forth till the car was on the tracks we drove in on. Praying and praying, slowly backing, praying, till I backed to the one-way plowed road! We both said a prayer of thanksgiving! Mary got behind the wheel and I noticed my texts to Mari went through. Pretty soon the phone was ringing! It was Mari asking "where the heck are you two????" When I told her and assured her we were ok, she said, "you two are always getting into trouble and you're both grounded!!! We're all here at the birthday party waiting!" I told her we would be there as soon as we washed up and changed our snowy wet clothes.
Needless to say, we sure got a huge welcome, lots of laughter, hugs, teasing, and razing us two "80" year olds!
I'm so thankful for this beautiful lady who blessed me with her love and friendship! May she now rest in peace! (I know she didn't need AWD to get to heaven!)

I will hold dear my last visit with you, and am so grateful we were able to get together that day, I wish we had had more time, but even the little we got is a treasure I’ll hold close!! I love you, Jenni!

Mary wilke my mother in law was a strong , loyal , kind but firm woman. She was steadfast in her love to Duke, her children and our huge family. Over the past 20 years I had the privilege of knowing her and Duke. I feel so blessed to have known her and Duke and have formed a relationship with the whole family. She raised some amazing children ❤️❤️❤️ one thing that feels good is knowing Mary was surrounded with so much love at home and during her lifetime. One thing I will practice that she taught me is enjoy life with your family as much as possible, be kind when no one is watching, travel and enjoy the here and now. She is missed every day but so grateful I got to be with her as her soul transitioned. We as a family have a deep whole in our hearts but are grateful for a lifetime of her love and generosity .
