Dorothy “Dottie” Wagner, 89, of Piper Street in Tomahawk passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at her home under the care of Aspirus Hospice and Home Care. Dottie was born December 24, 1933 in Colby, Wisconsin to Fred and Anna (Linter) Schumann. She was first married to Richard Young and later married Lenard Wagner. He passed away in 2017. Dottie grew up in the Colby area and later moved to the Milwaukee area where she worked as a quality inspector for the Briggs and Stratton Company for over 30 years. She has lived in Tomahawk since 2015. Dottie enjoyed sewing, wine tasting, and treasured her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Rich (Karen Rich) Young of New Berlin; Renee Haberland of Menominee, Michigan; and Wendy Wagner. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Rick (Katie) Young, Jennifer (Mark) Matuszak, Michaela Kraft and 5 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her morning coffee and evening cocktail friend, Jack Teal. Dottie is preceded in death by her husband, Lenard, a son Randy Young, and a son-in-law Fred Haberland. The family of Dottie Wagner will celebrate her life privately. Krueger Family Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for the family.
