Roland “Rollie” Hodge, 84, of Peaceful Valley Road, Tomahawk, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 surrounded by his family at his home. Rollie was born February 25, 1938 in Tomahawk to Raymond and Ellen (Wright) Hodge. He married Nesta Carstensen on November 28, 1959 also in Tomahawk. Rollie was never afraid of hard work and had been involved in many business adventures starting when he was an eight year old snow removal expert. He was the manager at the Northstar Station, sold cookware, owned and operated DynaKleen of Northern Wisconsin and Roland Hodge Excavating and Snowplowing. He also owned and operated the Tomahawk Speedway from 1972 until 2000. Rollie also was a private pilot and was a guitar playing member of the Backporch Pickers. Rollie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nesta. Four sons, Raleigh (Kathy) Hodge, Irma; Gene Hodge, Tomahawk; Michael (Kelly) Hodge, Schofield; and Edward (Jenean) Hodge, Neenah. He is further survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, his Carstensen in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service for Rollie Hodge will be held on Saturday, February 11th, 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Arthur Moritz will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. He will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery in the spring.
