Obituary of Dorothy Copiskey

Dorothy M. Copiskey, 89, passed away December 24, 2022 at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital. Dorothy was born June 30, 1933 in Maddock, North Dakota to John and Mary (Shidler) Kottke. She was married to Arvin “Obo” Copiskey on August 31, 1957 in Tomahawk. Obo passed away in 2004. Dorothy was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she belonged to the altar guild, quilting group and prayer shawl committee. Dorothy loved to babysit her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by two children - Rick Copiskey and Tammy Sypher both of Tomahawk. She is further survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband - Obo, a son - Kevin and 3 Kottke brothers – Fred, Ben & Jerry. The Funeral Service for Dorothy Copiskey will take place at 11:30AM on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church. Pastor Susan Christian will officiate. Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until the time of 11:30AM. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in the springtime.
