Obituary of Emily M Bucks

Emily M. Bucks, 97, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Riverview Health Service in Tomahawk. Emily was born August 4, 1924, in Peplin, Wisconsin, to Paul and Bertha (Bialek) Kluz. She married Donald Bucks on February 8, 1974, and they lived on Crystal Lake. Don passed away in 2006. Emily had served as a parish assistant at Holy Family Catholic Church in Poniatowski, Wisconsin, from 1952 until 1972 with Fr. Edward Roskos. Always devoted to her Lord and church, she taught CCD, relished in playing the organ and vocal accompaniment, and supported the church’s growth during these years in many ways. Throughout her life, Emily enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, and babysitting. Surviving Emily is her brother, Philip (Dorothy) Kluz of Mosinee, nieces, nephews, and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was further preceded in death by 8 siblings. The Mass of Christian Burial for Emily Bucks will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00. Burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Poniatowski, Wisconsin.
