Obituary of Elaine N Johnson

Elaine N. Johnson, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Riverview Nursing Home under the care of Compassus Hospice. Elaine was born on November 23, 1932 in Abbotsford to Martin & Laura (Heida) Daenicke. She was married to Raymond G. Johnson on May 6, 1950 in Abbotsford. He preceded her in death in 2009. Elaine and Ray moved to Tomahawk from Abbotsford in 1964. She worked as a lunch lady at the Tomahawk School District for many years. Elaine enjoyed horses, flowers and life. She was a faithful member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church and was a member of the Altar Guild. Elaine is survived by her children – Randy (Katrina) Johnson of Tomahawk, Lori (Ralph) Romano of Fitchburg, MA; two sisters – Shirley (Don) Marcott of Weston & Beverly (Dave) Michlig of Abbotsford; and two grandchildren – Cody (Bridget) Holemo & Tynne (Dave) Hall. She is further survived by three great grandchildren (Bryce (Ellen) Hall, Allie Holemo, and Molly Holemo). She is preceded in death by her husband – Ray and brother – Don Daenicke. The Memorial Service for Elaine Johnson will take place at 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church. Pastor Mark Gass will officiate. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Krueger Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
