Sara Lee Colstad, age 71, of Irma, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Aspirus Wausau Hosptial. Sara was born on November 2, 1950 in Madison to Lee & Marjorie (Hoffman) Gregg. She was married to Thomas Colstad on August 18, 1973 in Madison. Sara was a longtime employee at Harley Davidson in Tomahawk. She also worked as a substitute teacher at Tomahawk schools. Sara loved flowers, dogs, cats, horses and traveling – especially on cruise ships. She also was an avid reader of spy novels and enjoyed watching Perry Mason & Murder She Wrote. She loved picking rocks and playing solitaire. Sara especially loved being a Grandma. Sara is survived by her husband of over 48 years – Tom Colstad of Irma; three sons – William (Melissa) Colstad of Atlanta, Joseph (Jennifer) Colstad of Stoughton and Jake (Ashley) Colstad of Clinton; two brothers - Glenn (Linda) Gregg of Atlanta and William (Paula) Gregg of Canon Falls, MN; and one sister – Sister Madeleine Gregg, FCJ of Calgary. Sara is further survived by 6 grandchildren – Dean, Drew, Grey, Knox, Quinn & Rose. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister – Marjorie. The Memorial Service for Sara Colstad will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Sister Madeleine Gregg will officiate. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM.
