Obituary of Donna Erickson

Donna Mae Erickson, age 79, of Irma, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family & friends at her home on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Donna was born on July 28, 1942 in Rhinelander to George & Alice (Kolberg) Engle. She was married to Donald M. Erickson on August 28, 1960 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Together, they had 5 children. Donna loved to bowl and enjoyed trips to the casino. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was known and loved by many people beyond her family, who lovingly called her “mom” and “grandma.” Donna is survived by her children – Dorianne (James) Sowinski of Merrill, Diane Erickson of Merrill, Debra (Scott Platke) Baumann of Tomahawk, Denise (Derek) King of Tomahawk & Daniel (Rhonda) Erickson of Eagle River; 2 sisters – Sandra Blizzard of Merrill & Melody Neuman of Antigo; she is further survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren & 2 sisters-in-law – Joann (Charlie) Towne & Gladys (Jim) Eternicka. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband – Don, grandson – Mikale Erickson, great grandson – Coltyn McCoy, sister – Jule Wenzel & brothers – Chester, Francis, James, Lewis, Stanley & Alfred Engle. The Funeral Service for Donna Erickson will take place at Noon on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 9:00AM until the time of service at 12:00PM. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Irma.
