Uncle Alvin! You probably were well aware but next to my father, you were one of the greatest men in my life. Some of my best memories growing up were coming down to the farm and spending a couple weeks milking cows, feeding the horses, and enjoying time with you along with all my cousins. You were always willing to teach and willing to help. You were the type of man that would take the shirt off your back in freezing weather to help someone else stay warm. Great men are hard to find and impossible to replace, however, the memories and lessons learned from you live on with everyone you touched, Great men never die, there spirits live on in all of us forever! I can imagine my father and you are sitting around the table right now playing sheepshead, having a beer, and telling stories!
