Phyllis K. Johnson - Heikkinen, age 94, of Tomahawk, passed away peacefully at Tomahawk Health Services on October 4, 2020. Phyllis was born on March 10, 1926 in Tomahawk to August & Arvilla (Brown) Kropla. She was married to Swede Johnson on July 6, 1946. Together, they had two children. Swede preceded her in death in 1983. Later, Phyllis was married to Gene Heikkinen. He also preceded her in death. Phyllis worked at O-I Paper Mill in Tomahawk for 36 years as a secretary. She enjoyed golfing, knitting and card playing. Phyllis was the organist at Grace Lutheran Church for many years, and loved her time spent with her grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her two sons – Rick (Nancy) Johnson of Koehler, WI and Steve (Sharon) Johnson of New Port Richey, FL; 5 grandchildren – Ryan, Nicole, Eric, Telly & Robin; and 9 great grandchildren. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands and infant brother. Phyllis’ life will be celebrated privately. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Phyllis' memory.
