Obituary of Mike Swan

Michael P. Swan, age 56, of Tomahawk, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Marshfield Medical Center. Mike was born on April 8, 1964 in Tomahawk to Joseph & Loretta (VanHarpen) Swan. He was married to Nancy VanStrydonk on September 10, 1988 in Harrison. Mike worked for Schoone Construction for a short time, and later with VanStrydonk Construction. For the past 17 years, Mike worked at Erv’s Sales & Service. Mike loved to be outdoors, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and farming. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and his dog, Josie. Mike is survived by his wife – Nancy Swan; children – Sarah (Lucan) Taves & Craig (Becky) Swan; and parents – Joe & Loretta Swan; all of Tomahawk. He is further survived by 2 grandchildren – Aubree & Carson Taves; siblings – Gary (Carol) Swan, Jim (Terry Higgins) Swan, Jean (Jim Wurster) Keip, Rob (Lisa) Swan & Stacie (Steve) Cotey; mother-in-law – Jean VanStrydonk; brothers & sisters-in-law – Mary (Bob) Smith, Jo (Larry) Lemmens, Kathy (Mark) Voermans, Jim (Carol) VanStrydonk, Mark (Denise) VanStrydonk, Larry (Linda) VanStrydonk & Alan (Stephanie) VanStrydonk. The Funeral Service for Mike Swan will take place at 11:00AM on Friday, August 21, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at St. Augustine from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM.
