Dawn was named after my mother, Dawn, your Grandma Corky's sister. As a little girl, Dawn stayed with us in Il. for one week every summer. She was sweet, fun and happy. I was about 16 when I had a boyfriend named Randy. Dawn thought Randy was fabulous! I wonder if you are named after him, Randi?! Your Mom was an angel. YOU were her angel, now she is yours!

Blessings,Randi:Heres my # 1 memory & Story of Dawn. We've all gone through crazy, curvy times in our lives,i was no exception. As always, there was this uncanny, unexpected way in which myself & Dawnie crossed pathes.I wasnt eating well, and was awaiting on an 2wk paycheck on a job i had just started.Things surrounding my life in general were shattered, and Dawn knew. One evening i was on my way to sleep in company vehicle,Dawn called to me and said "you look like h3ll,and its clear your not eating"..i said,"thank you sunshine,i'll survive".About an hour later there was a loud knock on the company truck, nearly scaring the ''shirt' out of me..there was Dawnie with enough fixins for two lumberjacks.I started to tear up,and Dawn said "just hush and eat".She was already walking away when i said thanks, only turning back to say " just eat".From that day forward, she would always say to me when we crossed pathes.."Well you look like your eating ok".An very unique person indeed.JCannon

Oh my goodness thank you. Thank so much for sharing that. I needed something to bring me me up and hear who she was to others. This was truly the best gift anyone can give me. I cried and laughed. You'll never know what you and my mom's crossing paths means so me now. Oh bless your heart. I'm in awe right now.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and memories as I don't have Facebook so it's wonderful to hear from familiar people and ones I grew up with. I'm so lost without her. One funny thing she would do is wrap silly gifts during Christmas to me and kids to be funny. Like potatoes or blown up latex gloves. Oh mom I miss you so much. I'm so lost without you. Your one of kind and some kind of wonderful. Love you you my sweetheart momma. Xoxo I'm praying for more to come share stories on here

This wonderful lady could make sanity out of the insane, make sunshine when there was rain.It was ironic to myself that Dawnie was total opposite of the majority of individuals she catered to over the many years. She was very spiritual in her own unique ways and many took this for granted. She welcomed those who otherwise were not.And unlike the majority, when i did see & talk to her over the years, here & there..she didnt go gabbing about. This was obvious in a Small town.I will miss her and grieve forever. She was truly unique, and that cant be said enough.Blessings abound to Dawn, family and friends.JCannon
