Marlane R. Larson, 69, a longtime Spirit area resident, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Pine Crest in Merrill with her daughters by her side. Marlane was born November 5, 1950 in Milwaukee to Warren and Leila Mae (Ames) Anderson. She lived for many years in Butler, Wisconsin and had worked at Raabe Paint in Menomonee Falls. In 1992 she moved to the Spirit area and had been employed at Bollech Electric in Tomahawk. Marlane loved animals, especially horses and donkeys. She was known in the area for her donkey, Tallulah, whom she brought to nursing homes and had used for live nativity scenes at local churches. She was a member of the Spirit and Tomahawk United Methodist Church. Surviving Marlane are her daughters, Kristal (Jim) Blomberg of Antigo and Natalie (Jeremy) DeKam of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. She is further survived by a granddaughter, Olivia; a brother, Gary (Christine) Anderson and a sister, Pam Cross. A memorial service for Marlane Larson will be held at the Spirit United Methodist Church when the covid 19 restrictions are lifted.
