Our neighborhood won't be the same without Harvey. We purchased the land directly South of Harvey's house in 2008 and built our house. The fact that we built a house on land Harvey hunted for so many years likely was a strike against us but Harvey soon made us feel welcome. We'll miss his humorous life insights, quick wit and his good-natured flirting with the ladies of Skanawan. Like Norm walking into Cheers, it will be tough not seeing Harvey rolling into the Birkensee in his black leather vest. Rest In Peace neighbor.

Harvey was a gentle and amazing soul.
Always quick with a smile and his Cowboy hat close at hands.
We were sitting in his kitchen when I saw a Mama Bear and 3 Cubs run across his back field...we had just moved here and NOT use to bear activity when Harvey smiled and laugh and said..."You will get use to them up here... He was right!!! Love you Harvey, you will be missed but truly never forgotten.

Such a nice man, very sorry for your loss girls. He was so good to my daughter Katie when she bartended at Clover Club. One night she had her car running -20 below weather and her doors locked. He drove her home on Spring Creek drive-probably about 10 miles- so she could get an extra set of keys-@ 3am. He often stayed until everyone was gone just to make sure she was ok. Nice man. Of course he had some of the most beautiful Christmas trees and would go out with you to pick one out. Rest peacefully Harvey.
