Obituary of Patricia A Garrou

Patricia Garrou, age 83, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at St. Clare’s Hospital.

Pat was born on February 24, 1936 in Chicago to her mother Margaret Howe. She was married to Frank Garrou, Sr. on July 12, 1956; he preceded her in death in 1998. Pat & Frank moved to Tomahawk shortly after they were married. Together Pat & Frank had six children. Pat worked as the Innkeeper at Holiday Inn in Rhinelander and cooked at various places around the area.

She was the cleaning lady at Northbay Pharmacy for many years and cooked meals on Fridays for the staff.

Pat loved her children and grandchildren and getting together with family for Sunday meals. Her kitchen was always open to anyone looking to share a meal.  She treasured playing cribbage (when winning) and tending to her flower gardens.  Everyone who met her knew she was a very special person.

Pat is survived by her children – Frank Garrou Jr of Tomahawk, John (Denice) Garrou of Denver, Bob (Joy) Garrou of Tomahawk, Jeanette (John) DuPlayee of Tomahawk & Gerald Garrou of Tomahawk. She is further survived by her son-in-law – Rick Burnett of Minocqua; 11 Grandchildren & 7 Great Grandchildren. Pat is preceded in death by her mother – Margaret, her husband – Frank Garrou Sr, her daughter – Debra Burnett & her grandson – Frank Garrou III – five sisters and one brother.

The Memorial Service for Pat Garrou will take place at 7:00PM on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Deacon Dan Towel will officiate. Visitation will take place on Thursday evening from 4:00PM until the time of service at 7:00PM.
