Obituary of Kim Hamann

Kim M. Hamann, age 60, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at North Central Health Care – Mount View in Wausau.

 

Kim was born May 4, 1958 in Tomahawk to David and Kay (Steinhafel) LaMere. She was a 1976 graduate of Tomahawk High School and a former member of the Kwahamot Ski Club. She had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later as a machinist at Ryan Manufacturing in Wausau. She was an avid hunter and enjoyed flowers. Kim was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1990 and in 1994 she moved back to Tomahawk. Kim had been a resident of both Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk and Mount View Care Center in Wausau. Kim was very strong willed and upbeat in spite of her diagnosis.

 

Kim is survived by her 3 children – Jason (Charlotte) Anthes of Tomahawk, Sarah (Dave) Mijal of Wausau & Lonnie (Crystal Hurst) Hamann of Wausau; her mother – Kay LaMere of Tomahawk; and siblings – Jeff LaMere & Laura (Timothy) Weber, both of Tomahawk. Kim is further survived by 7 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father – David LaMere.

 

A Memorial Service for Kim Hamann is planned for 11:00AM on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Gass will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM.

 

Memorials in Kim’s name are appreciated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
