Obituary of Mary D Rumsey

Mary D. Rumsey, 88, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Milestone Senior Living Center in Tomahawk under the care of Ascension Ministry Hospice.

Mary was born April 11, 1930 in Carroville, Wisconsin to Joseph and Eva (Baranek) Bibis. She was married to Dr. Howard “Doc” Rumsey on November 25, 1950 at St. Matthew’s Parish Rectory in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Doc passed away in 2007. Mary and Doc lived most of their life in the Kewaskum area where she served as a receptionist for his chiropractic practice. They retired in 1990 and moved to the Tomahawk area. Mary enjoyed traveling, especially exploring in Alaska. She enjoyed flower gardening and was a member of Northland Bible Church.

Surviving Mary Rumsey are her children, Buddy (Kim) Rumsey of Tomahawk; Debra (James) Bolduc of New Hampshire; and Doreen (Patrick) Polcyn of Illinois. she is further survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Howard “Doc” Rumsey and her granddaughter Jamie Lyn Rumsey.

A Memorial service for Mary Rumsey will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, 11:00 a.m. from the Northland Bible Church. Pastor Alex Lindsay will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
