Nancy,
Best Wishes to you and the Paulson Family on the loss of Bill.
He worked in the O-I Technical Department Laboratory as a Summer Intern, and I enjoyed his personality, enthusiasm and many wonderful and imaginative “stories”.
At an art show in June, 1972, I purchased one of his charcoal drawings, which he had to explain in vivid detail that it was the rear view of a toilet. To this day, I still see the Bumblebee I saw 47 years ago ! (My attempt to copy a photo of it failed.)
Nancy, I hope you played the guitar and sang at Bill’s funeral. He would have enjoyed that !
Regards, A. M.

The last time I saw Bill was when our dad Norm passed away and he attended services. It was a kind gesture that was a signature of Bill. Always nice to everyone in my family. The art gene was something that connected us personally. Deepest sympathies to his dear Mother (having lost my child I know that's like) and to the rest of his siblings. He was a wonderful guy!

Billy Paulson had been a friend of mine since the early sixties. We would catch gophers in back of his house near the 'new' high school. We, and some friends had eleven gophers in a shoe box and thought that might be the worlds record. When we would try to put one more in the box, one would escape. I distinctly remember his giggle from back then and how he continued it his whole life.
We also had a great time water skiing with the Kwahamots. Sometimes early on Saturday mornings I would go the ski shack, pick up the boat and drive it down to his house by the river. One time I "forgot" to bring a ski and he had to do a deepwater barefoot start to get back to the ski area. We made that a tradition thereafter. Billy was a great barefooter. At one point, the Kwahamots lost a lot of high quality members and Billy really stepped-up to be President. Many past Kwahamots have Billy to thank for all the great photos he took of us. He had an especially good eye to capture the moment.
We always kept in touch and when he found out my brother Scuf and I were going to Kilimanjaro, he was in. It was a trip of a lifetime that was difficult and rewarding. We enjoyed stories of that trip whenever we would see each other.
We will miss you, Billy
Your friend, Ted Theiler

To my cousins, I know the hurt and loss you are going through because I am feeling it too. Bill was more than a cousin to me, when we met as small children there was a bond formed that has lasted to this day, he was a friend and the brother that I never had. Your valiant struggle is finally through may you rest in peace brother.

Ila Mae and Family, I'm so sorry to hear this. Bill and I were friends since High School. I remember in the 70's I worked at Stevens Point County Club. Bill was hired to do a photo shoot of holes on the course. The end result was absolutely beautiful. So many memories. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences and prayers.
