Obituary of Steve Watzlawick

Steve Watzlawick, age 65 of Grundy Road, Irma, passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, September 28, 2018.

Steve was born on February 11, 1953 to Paul and Audrey (Wilkens) Watzlawick. He was married to Karen Ingman on November 9, 1974 in Tomahawk. Steve taught Machine & Tool at NTC in Wausau for 34 years. He retired in 2010. Steve was an outdoor enthusiast. He loved hunting, fishing, four wheeling and spending time at the family hunting shack. Steve loved watching old westerns and always cheered on the Packers, Brewers & Badgers.

Steve is survived by his wife – Karen; two daughters – Kristy Watzlawick, of New Whiteland, Indiana & Stacey (William) Thomas, of Southaven, Mississippi. He is further survived by 3 grandchildren – Hayden, Landen & Harper; brother – Jeff (Debbie) Watzlawick, of West Bend; sisters-in-law – Gloriann Watzlawick, of Shawano, Mary Ingman, of Irma & Judy Mews, of Silver Lake; brothers-in-law – Einar Ingman, III, of Irma, Tom Ingman, of East Troy, Jerry (Louise), of Merrill, Jim (Courtney) Ingman, of West Bend; and many neices & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother – Terry Watzlawick.

The Funeral Service for Steve Watzlawick will take place at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The celebration of Steve’s life will continue at Road Lake Pub & Grill.
