Obituary of Larry J Hilgendorf

Larry J.  Hilgendorf, age 66, of Tomahawk, passed away on July 22, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.

Larry was born on April 16, 1952 in Tomahawk to Ty & Bobbi Hilgendorf. Larry married his wife, Patti on April 17, 1982. Lars worked at Lincoln Hills School for more than 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, baking, making maple syrup, time at the shack, hunting and fishing. Most of all, Larry loved spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his wife – Patti Hilgendorf; three children – Katie (Ivy Sayles) Hilgendorf, Jeff (Ashley) & Elizabeth (Kyle Lynch) Hilgendorf; & his grandchildren – McKenzie Hilgendorf & Brandon Boehm. Larry is further survived by 4 brothers & 2 sisters – Gary (Joan) Hilgendorf, Cindy Bierlich, David (Lois) Hilgendorf, Karen (Tom) Koth, Ty (Pegi) Hilgendorf & Ken (Darsi) Hilgendorf; many nieces, nephews & friends.

The funeral service for Larry “Lars” Hilgendorf will take place at 7:00PM on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church, Tomahawk. Visitation will take place from 4:00PM until the time of service at 7:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Larry’s name are appreciated to Kinship of Tomahawk.
