Obituary of Grace Magnus

Grace Magnus, age 90, a longtime resident of Harrison, passed away on May 2, 2018 at Grace Lodge Assisted Living in Rhinelander.

Grace was born on April 16, 1928 in Rib Mountain to August & Martha (Borth) Hoertsch. She was married to Frank Magnus on October 19, 1946 in Tomahawk. Together they had three children. Frank & Grace farmed in Harrison for many years. After giving up farming, they moved to Rhinelander in 2003. Grace showed great passion for life in whatever she did, especially cleaning, baking, gardening & spending time with family and friends.

Grace is survived by her three children – Charles (Wilbur Smith) Magnus, of Honolulu, Diane Yunek, of Wausau, & Debby (Mark) Hansen, of New Lisbon; four grandchildren – Jimmer (Belinda) Yunek, Meredith Brezinski, Elayne (Ian Lexen) Hansen & Adele Hansen. She is further survived by 4 great grandchildren – Charles, Benjamin, Henry & Alivia and special friends – Jane & Mike Hendricks. Grace is preceded in death by her husband – Frank & 7 siblings.

The Funeral Service for Grace Magnus will take place at 3:00PM on May 6, 2018 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. The Visitation will take place from 12:00PM until the time of service at 3:00PM. Burial will take place at 9:00AM on Monday at Greenwood Cemetery.
