Obituary of Dale F Gerhardt

Dale F. Gerhardt, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at his home.

Dale was born on February 15, 1948 in Little Falls, NY to Ward & Gertrude (Brown) Gerhardt. After high school, he enlisted with the US Army. He served during the Vietnam War from 1966 until 1969. Dale was married to Carol Wagner on November 1, 1980. He attended MSOE in Milwaukee and received his engineering degree. He worked as an engineer for various companies including Caterpillar. Dale was a craftsman. He enjoyed re-engineering things to make his life a little easier. His also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Dale enjoyed his time working with his tools but his time spent with his grandchildren was especially cherished.

Dale is survived by his wife – Carol, Tomahawk; 5 children – Ryan (Robin) Gerhardt, Green Bay, Carolyn McDaniel, Milwaukee, Michele (Brian) Kline, Burlington, Jacqueline Gerhardt, Green Bay and Joshua Gerhardt, Connecticut. He is further survived by 17 grandchildren, 3 brothers – Ward, Keith & Wayne Gerhardt, all of NY State, and brother in law – Dr. Duncan Rogers Lee III.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister – Ethel Jean Lee and brother – Randy.  

The Funeral Service with Military Honors for Dale Gerhardt will take place at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Paul Ev Lutheran Church, 8080 N 47th Street, Brown Deer, WI 53223.
