Obituary of John B Winchell

John B. Winchell, 92, a former Tomahawk resident, passed away Thursday, March 1^st, 2018 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, Wisconsin.

John was born January 7, 1926 in Tomahawk to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Winchell. John served his country during World War II in the US Army. He married the former Esther Czerwinski on June 26, 1945 in Wausau. She passed away in 2017. John retired in Minocqua from the US Post Office in 1981 after serving in Wausau and as Postmaster in Butternut, Wisconsin. He later moved back to Tomahawk and for the past 5 years had been a resident of the King Veterans Home.

John is survived by his son, Terry Winchell of Tomahawk.
