Obituary of Roberta Kuester

Roberta J. Kuester, age 92, of Harshaw, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Bobbe was born in Hannibal, WI on June 21, 1925 to Audrey & Opal Mundell. She led a long and interesting life. She married Edwin Kuester of Loyal, WI on April 14, 1945. Together, they moved to Sugar Camp in 1967 where they raised four children – Terry, Carole, Bonnie, Vicki & Mona. Bobbe and Eddie were avid bear hunters and ran Limberlost Kennels of Sugar Camp for 40 years. They bred, raised and perfected the old fashioned long eared black and tan hounds. The breed was rare but gained a good following in those 40 years. Bobbe worked at Harley Davidson in Tomahawk for 37 years and also managed Highland Heafford Ranch on County Hwy A, in Tomahawk. Bobbe only saw the good in the people that she and Ed met. She had a smile for everyone. She loved her flower gardens, the outdoors and feeding her birds.  She loved writing songs, poems and was always singing.

Bobbe is survived by her children – Terry (Charlotte) Kuester, of Rhinelander, Carole (Joe) Jorgenson, of Harshaw, Bonnie (Rick) Sortek, of Rhinelander, Vicki (Mike) Holewinski, of Rhinelander and step daughter, Mona (John) Daubon, of Lac du Flambeau. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Bobbe is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Eddie.

A Memorial Service for Roberta “Bobbe” Kuester will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM.
