Sharon A. Schneider, age 73, of Tomahawk passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Clare Hospital in Weston.

 

Sharon was born on July 11, 1944 in Eau Claire to Glen & Lauana (Dickenson) Lewallen. When Sharon was very young, her mother passed away. Margaret was the mother that Sharon grew up knowing. Sharon grew up in Stanley but later moved to Oshkosh, Wausau and, in later years, to Tomahawk. She was a waitress at various places, including Log Cabin & Mint Café in Wausau, Country Kitchen in Minocqua & Tomahawk Family Restaurant. Dennis Hinterleitner was the love of her life and life partner. They were together for 38 years. Sharon played softball, was an avid bow hunter and loved flower gardening. She loved spending time outside with her critters. She was a fantastic cook and was the best mom.

 

Sharon is survived by her children – Troy (Cindy) Alix, Stanley, Lauana (Andy) Chuzles, Weston, Donna (Doug) Lemmer, Schofield, Robin Drury, Hunstville, AL, Teri (Darryl) Goebel, North Branch, MN, and Tina (Terry) Ellenbecker, Hortonville; her siblings – Dennis (Pat) Lewallen, Jolly (Richard) Stelzer, Kathy Logan, Sandra (Jack Ingles) Schilts, Phyllis (Daniel) Acker and Beth Lewallen, all of Stanley; 12 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents – Glen, Lauana & Margaret; grandson – Justan; and her siblings – Larry & Shelly; two nephews and one niece.

The Funeral Service for Sharon Schneider will take place at 6:00PM on Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Monday from 3:00PM until the time of service at 6:00PM. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Tomahawk, at a later date.
