Obituary of Joyce E VanStrydonk

Joyce VanStrydonk, age 91, passed away Thursday, September 07, 2017 at Riverview Rehab and Care Center.

Joyce was born January 27, 1926 in Tomahawk to Paul and Edna (Barker) Larson. She was married to Roger F. VanStrydonk on September 4, 1942 in Harrison. He preceded her in death in 2015. Joyce was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her 7 children. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, flowers, baking, and cooking.

Joyce is further survived by 19 Grandchildren and 15 great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roger, son, Steven, and brothers and sisters.

The Service of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Deacon Darrell Smerz will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Harrison.  The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 10:00 a.m.
