Dean K. Gavin, 48, of Athens, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his home. Dean was born October 26, 1968 in Tomahawk to Connie (VanHarpen) Gavin. He spent his early years in Tomahawk, graduating from Tomahawk High School in 1987. He lived and worked in the Wausau area for the past few years. Dean was a talented artist. He enjoyed fishing, biking, woodworking, and drawing. Survivors include: His Mom, Connie Gavin Tomahawk Sisters, Marla (Nick) Schiltz Tomahawk Rita (Jeff) Johnson Rhinelander Anita (Scott) Pultz Tomahawk Brothers, Allen (Jeanette) Crowell Tomahawk Steve (Amber) Crowell Eagle River Kevin (Jess) Gavin Tomahawk Dean is further survived by many Step brothers, step sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step father, Delbert Gavin. A Memorial Service for Dean Gavin will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home.
