Obituary of Theodore Stevenson
Ted “Puggy” Stevenson, age 92, N8640 Grundy Road, Irma, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.
Ted was born on August 20, 1926 to Theodore and Grace Stevenson, Sr. He married Mary Amelse on January 20, 1949 in Harrison. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and served during WW II. He had farmed and logged in the Skanawan area all of his life, he also owned and operated Stevenson’s Tire for over 20 years and also worked as a mechanic. Ted enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife and playing with the Thursday night Back Porch Pickers group.
Survivors include his 11 children - Mike (Jude) Stevenson, Tomahawk, Matt (Karen) Stevenson, Wausau, Joanie (Joe) Pickett, Tomahawk, Greg (Jane) Stevenson, Irma, David (Kathy) Stevenson, Merrill, Danny (Barb) Stevenson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jean (the late Colby) Reynolds, Arlington, Texas, Steve (Jen) Stevenson, Tomahawk, Tim (Mary) Stevenson, Merrill, Judy Stevenson, Tomahawk, and Tom (Rhonda) Stevenson, Medford.
He is also survived by a brother, Scott Stevenson, Tomahawk, and 2 sisters, Trina Wattson of California and Sue Krueger of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Puggy is further survived by 30 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife – Mary, and grandson - Casey Perry, and a great grandson, Sonny Pepper.
The Funeral Service for Ted “Puggy” Stevenson will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Deacon Dan Towle will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 15 from 4:00PM until concluding the evening at 7:00 p.m. with a Veterans Memorial Service. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in the Town of Skanawan.
