Obituary of Jerry J. Kurth, Jr.

Jerry Kurth, Jr., age 60, of 827 S. Wilson Street, Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his home under the care of his family and Ministry Ascension Hospice.

Jerry was born July 25, 1958 in Ladysmith to Jerry and Dorothy Kurth, Sr.  He was married to Bonnie Jones on May 10, 1980 in the town of Nokomis. Jerry had formerly worked for the City of Tomahawk for 9 years and the Louisiana Pacific Mill for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, berry picking, and asparagus picking.

Surviving Jerry are his wife, Bonnie; 3 children, Stacy Suchomel and Michelle Kurth both of Tomahawk, and Jeremy (Pam) Kurth of North Carolina. 7 grandchildren, Haley, Hayden, Hope, Zachary, Avery, Landon, and Mia. He is further survived by 7 sisters and 4 brothers; Catherine Kurth, Tomahawk; Elizabeth (Dan) Wittman, Wisconsin Rapids; Frances (Mike) Sonnentag, Wausau; Rose (Jim) Szmania, Sugar Camp; Mary (Chris) Jalinski, Harshaw; Barbara Kamrath, Tomahawk; Cynthia (Chris) King, Tomahawk; Paul (Kathy) Kurth;  Kenneth (Gina) Kurth; William Kurth all of Tomahwk and Joe (Vicki) Kurth of Wausau. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Daniel Kurth.

A Memorial Service for Jerry Kurth will be held on Friday, Ocober 5, 2018, 6:00 p.m. at the Krueger Family Funeral Home. His son, Pastor Jeremy Kurth will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m.
