Obituary of June A Du Pont

June A. Du Pont, 96, of W. Kraft Road, Tomahawk, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk.

June was born June 16, 1921 in Wisconsin Rapids to Fredrick and Vera (Lewis) Christensen. She married John C. Du Pont on June 30, 1938 in Tomahawk. He passed away in 2006.

June lived in the Tomahawk area for 93 years and had attended Fulsher Grade School and Tomahawk High School. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Daughters of the American Revolution.  She enjoyed antiques, reading, embroidery, gardening, and an occasional casino trip.

June is survived by:

She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; 2 sons, John and Fredrick Du Pont; a daughter, Vera Nelson; 7 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 grandsons, Peter Nelson and Adam Teal.

A Memorial Service for June A Du Pont will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 11:30 a.m. from Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. Krueger Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
