Steven E. Varner, age 70, of 310 W. Wisconsin Ave., Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home.

 

Steve was born January 24, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a graduate of Cooley High School in the Chicago area. Steve served his country during the Viet Nam War in the US Army and was employed as an over the road trucker for many years. He had been a resident of Tomahawk for over 35 years and was fondly called “Elvis.”

 

Steve is survived by a son, Cliff Varner of Merrill and 4 grandchildren (Craig, Addison, Hayden, and Broghan).

 

A Memorial Service with Military Rites will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
